KR held off Njardvik in the semifinal series opener. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 9-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. KR dominated on the defensive end, holding Njardvik to just 6 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. KR forced 21 Njardvik turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KR made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. The former international Helgi Magnusson (197-82, college: Catawba) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeremy Atkinson (193-90, college: NC-Asheville) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 24 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) added 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Njardvik.
