Semi-Finals Game 3: Haukar - Grindavik 72-45

Haukar fired past Grindavik to secure 2-1 lead in the series. Haukar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Grindavik to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Grindavik 52-38 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Helena Sverrisdottir (184-88, college: TCU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Sylvia Run Halfdanardottir (-98) accounted for 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Whitney Frazier (183-92, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Merit Management Group) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88) added 5 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Grindavik in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
