Second Stage Round 15: Helsingborg - Lobas 88-70

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Helsingborg (12-9) defeated at home 7th ranked Lobas (9-13) 88-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Helsingborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Helsingborg forced 19 Lobas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Erik Joelsson (198-97) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Anton Persson (180-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. Five Helsingborg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jesper Wennerholm (188-96) who recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Ted Cedermarker (182-79) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Lobas' coach Jorgen Lillieholm rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Helsingborg. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Lobas keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Helsingborg will meet at home Brahe Basket (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lobas will have a break next round.
