Second Stage Round 4: Byblos - Tadamon 76-66

There was a change at the Pepsi LBL leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of group's leader Tadamon (12-8). They were defeated by third ranked Byblos (11-9) 76-66 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Tadamon. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-66. Worth to mention a great performance of American Andre Smith (204-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 6 rebounds and American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) who added 22 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Byblos have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-9 record having just two points less than leader Al Riyadi. Tadamon at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Moutahed. They were replaced at the leadership position by Al Riyadi. Tadamon will play next round against strong Louaize trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zouk - Louaize. Byblos will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Homenetmen in Beirut.
