Piestanske Cajky held off MBK Ruzomebok to seal their Finals appearance. It looked good early as MBK Ruzomberok took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Piestanske C. had a 7-3 second period charge getting the lead and MBK Ruzomberok was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 30-42. Piestanske C. dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Ruzomberok to just 2 points in third quarter. They held MBK Ruzomberok to an opponent 16.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 25.0 percent accuracy of the winners. MBK Ruzomberok was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) who led her team to a victory scoring 5 points and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Sabina Oroszova (188-93, college: E.Illinois) helped adding 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Zuzana Lazarova (168-87) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds.
