LPB top team - Guaros (23-13) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Gaiteros (12-24) in Barquisimeto 100-75. The game without a history. Guaros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Guaros outrebounded Gaiteros 46-34 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a quality performance for American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists. International center Windi Graterol (204-86, agency: Pro Sports) accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Five Guaros players scored in double figures. American forward Terrence Shannon (203-79, college: Elgin CC) came up with 32 points and 7 rebounds and forward Deivis Ananguren (192-85) added 10 points respectively for Gaiteros in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guaros maintains first place with 23-13 record. Gaiteros lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 24 games lost.
