There was an upset in Firenze where higher ranked Crema (18-10) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Fiorentina (10-18) 80-74 on Saturday. Point guard Simone Lasagni (184-94) fired 22 points for the winners. Forward Giovanni Lenti (196-96) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Gabriele Zanella (204-81) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Luca Montanari (181-92) added 15 points and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fiorentina moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with Volpino and Pavia. Loser Crema keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Fiorentina will face higher ranked Vicenza (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Crema will play against Bergamo having rather not much hope for a victory.
