Regular Season Round 28: Ortona - Valmontone 84-70

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Ortona (17-11) won against at home 12th ranked Valmontone (9-19) 84-70 on Sunday. Point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (185-87) fired 31 points for the winners. Center Raffaele Martone (208-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Dario Scodavolpe (193-83) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Valmontone players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Ortona maintains sixth position in B with 17-11 record. Valmontone at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Ortona will face Giulianova (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Valmontone will play against Vasto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
