Finals Game 1: Petrochimi - Naft Abadan 77-71

Petrochemi outgunned Naft Abadan to take the lead in the Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Naft Abadan won second period 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Naft Abadan 44-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Naft Abadan was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. International Behnam Yakhchali (197-95) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Petrochimi's coach Mehran Shahintab allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International Mohammad Jamshidi (199-91) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Naft Abadan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
