Regular Season Round 28: Mantovana - Treviso Basket 70-68

Round 28 in Serie A2 means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Mirandola where host Mantovana (21-7) edged league's leader Treviso Basket (20-8) 70-68 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the top position in A2. Treviso Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (201-85) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center Kenneth Simms (205-86, college: Cumberland, agency: Two Points) chipped in 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Agustin Fabi (199-91) produced 22 points and 7 assists and American guard Tyshawn Abbott (192-88, college: Arizona St.) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Mantovana keeps a position of A2 leader. Treviso Basket at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Scafati. Treviso Basket will play next round against Treviglio trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Mantovana will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Ravenna on the road.
