Finals Game 5: Pioneros - Soles 94-73

Pioneros fired past Soles to gain 3-2 lead in the championship series. The game without a history. Pioneros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Pioneros had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Pioneros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. International guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Pioneros' coach Manuel Cintron felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) answered with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and naturalized Puerto Rican guard Joseph Soto (190-93) added 11 points in the effort for Soles. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
