Regular Season Round 27: Hapoel Eilat - Hapoel T-A 93-75

The game between sixth ranked Hapoel Eilat (14-13) and 8th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (11-16) in Eilat ended with biggest points difference. Hapoel Eilat beat guests from Tel-Aviv 93-75. It looked good early as Hapoel Tel-Aviv took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Eilat had a 22-9 second period charge getting the lead and Hapoel Tel-Aviv was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-93. Hapoel Eilat players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bnei Hertzeliyya and Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Tel-Aviv at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be Hapoel Holon (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
