1/8 Finals Round 4: Minas - Pinheiros 67-85

Pinheiros topped Minas on the road to force the decisive fifth game in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Pinheiros. Minas managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Humberto Gomes (195-95) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Renan Lenz (206-90, college: Utah) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Shilton Santos (198-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Henrique Coelho (183-93) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Five Pinheiros and four Minas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
