COR-Borisfen topped Vitebsk to claim their next round appearance. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-10. But Vitebsk won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Vitebsk outrebounded COR-Borisfen 54-40 including 22 on the offensive glass. Forward Evgeni Sugonyako (199-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. German point guard Vytautas Kamarunas (179-89) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Pavel Kadol (195-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Vitebsk. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
