Regular Season Round 24: Santurce - Arecibo 82-75

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Capitanes (13-10) against fourth ranked Cangrejeros (13-10) on Wednesday night. Visiting Capitanes were defeated by Cangrejeros in a tough game in Santurce 75-82. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-75. Cangrejeros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds and French center Johan Petro (214-86) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American swingman Ebi Ere (195-81, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points) scored 16 points. Capitanes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cangrejeros moved-up to second place, which they share with Arecibo. Capitanes lost fourth consecutive game. Cangrejeros will meet at home league's leader Caciques in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Capitanes will play against Brujos in Guayama and hope to secure a win.
