Regular Season Round 28: Anwil - Polfarmex KT 84-58
Date: April 13, 2016
Rather predictable result in Wloclawek where fourth ranked Anwil (22-7) outscored 6th ranked AZS Polfarmex (18-12) 84-58. The game without a history. Anwil led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by AZS Polfarmex helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by the former international center Robert Tomaszek (205-81, college: Texas Tech) who scored that evening 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech swingman David Jelinek (196-90) supported him with 17 points. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by the former international Michal Gabinski (202-87) did not help to save the game for AZS Polfarmex. American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) added 10 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil maintains fourth position with 22-7 record. AZS Polfarmex at the other side keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. Anwil's next round opponent will be higher ranked Twarde Pierniki (#3) in Torun and it may be the game of the week. AZS Polfarmex will play at home against the league's second-placed Rosa and hope to win that game.
