Sammic ISB held off Clinicas Rincon for 1-0 lead in the playoffs. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-16 Clinicas Rincon's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-72 at the end of the game. French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (209-90, college: De Paul) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sammic ISB's coach Iker Bueno allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Brazilian guard Carlos Cobos (193-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Romanian power forward Rares Uta (211-97) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Clinicas Rincon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
