Hoops upset Homenetmen away from home to surge ahead in the quarterfinal series. It looked good early as Homenetmen took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hoops Club had a 21-8 second period charge getting the lead and Homenetmen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-70. Hoops Club forced 21 Homenetmen turnovers. The former international swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Norvel Pelle (208-93, college: Iona) added 12 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Homenetmen in the defeat.
