The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-14. But Caciques won second period 27-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Manati won last quarter 26-21. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Manati players scored in double figures. Caciques' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Manati (12-11) moved-up to seventh place. Caciques lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with ten games lost. Manati are looking forward to face league's second-placed Cangrejeros in Santurce in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Caciques will have a break next round.
