Regular Season Round 26: Mieres BVM - Naron 86-90

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Naron (9-11) won against on the road higher ranked Mieres BVM (14-6) 90-86 on Saturday. Mieres BVM was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 29-21 charge of Naron, which allowed them to win the game. Naron outrebounded Mieres BVM 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. American guard Brantley Osborne (193-91, college: Shepherd) scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Samuel Barros (190-98) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Osborne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Brazilian Rodrigo Goncalves (200-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Brazilian point guard Luan Pereira Xavier (187-92) scored 18 points. Five Mieres BVM players scored in double figures. Naron moved-up to seventh place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. Loser Mieres BVM keeps the third position with six games lost. Naron will face higher ranked Ourense (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mieres BVM will play against Chantada and hope to win that game.
