Semi-Finals Game 1: TTT Riga - Astana Tigers 70-62

TTT Riga fired past Astana Tigers to enter EEWBL Final. The hosts were already 15 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 24-15 last quarter charge of Astana Tigers cut the lead to 70-62 at the end of the game. TTT Riga players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Ieva Krastina (172-90, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 steals. American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists for the winners. Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists and Latvian center Anita Teilane (195-85, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Astana Tigers. Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
