Date: April 17, 2016
There was a small surprise when leader Lady Cobras (3-0) defeated leader Spectres (4-2) in Kilsyth 70-60 on Sunday. The former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Hanna Zavecz (186-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Amy Kame (183-92, college: San Diego) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Spectres. Lady Cobras moved-up to second place in League. Loser Spectres still keep top position with two games lost. Lady Cobras will face league's leader Tornadoes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spectres will play against Brisbane Spartans and hope to win that game.
