Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Kilsyth Cobras and one of their biggest challengers Spectres had identical 2-2 record. This time Kilsyth Cobras used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from East Burwood 86-74 on Sunday night. Kilsyth Cobras shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Joel Naburgs (193-90, college: Stetson) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Timothy Lang (206-85, college: Stetson) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Shane McDonald (188-85, college: Nova SE) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and forward Nathan Wilson (201-85, college: N.Greenville) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Kilsyth Cobras maintains third position in League with 3-2 record having just two point less than leader Geelong S. Loser Spectres dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will face Tigers (#7) in Melbourne in the next round. Spectres will play on the road against Brisbane Spartans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
