Quarter-Finals Round 5: Gotha - Hamburg 81-64

Gotha knocked down Hamburg to gain the decisive victory in the quarterfinal series. Oettinger Rockets Gotha looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hamburg's players. Forward Marco Voeller (201-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Oettinger Rockets Gotha players scored in double figures. Oettinger Rockets Gotha's coach Chris Ensminger used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Ivorian guard Bazoumana Kone (190-93, college: Bremerhaven, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 10 points and 5 assists and point guard Anthony Canty (183-91, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points in the effort for Hamburg.
