Regular Season Round 26: Aguada - Humacao 89-86

There was a change at the BSN leadership position after last games. Round 26 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Caciques (15-11). They were edged by fifth ranked Santeros (14-12) 89-86 on Monday night. The game without a history. Santeros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Chane Behanan (198-92, college: Louisville) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Santeros' coach Allans Colon used entire bench in such tough game. Dominican forward Jack Michael Martinez (201-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian guard Carl English (192-81, college: Hawaii) scored 23 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Santeros moved-up to fourth place. Caciques lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the second position with 11 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Santurce. Caciques will play next round against Vaqueros trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Santeros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
