Finals Game 1: KR - Haukar 91-61

KR coasted past Haukar in the championship series opener. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-61. KR had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KR made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Five KR players scored in double figures. KR's coach Finnur Stefansson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and forward Kristinn Marinosson (191-91) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Haukar.
