Hoops knocked down Homenetmen for 2-0 lead in the quarterfinals. Hoops Club led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hoops Club forced 19 Homenetmen turnovers. American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Hoops Club players scored in double figures. Hoops Club's coach Patrick Saba used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Norvel Pelle (208-93, college: Iona) responded with 9 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds.
