Leader Capitanes delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Manati (12-13) 76-66. The guests were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 25-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Capitanes players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international guard Guillermo Diaz (188-85, college: Miami, FL) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Irish-Australian center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for Manati in the defeat. Four Manati players scored in double figures. Capitanes maintains first place with 15-11 record. Manati at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Capitanes will have a break next round. Manati will play at home against Santeros (#5) and hope to win that game.
