Quarter-Finals Round 1: Lucca - Torino 85-62

Lucca overwhelmed visiting Torino for 1-0 lead. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Torino managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Torino's 28. Lucca forced 24 Torino turnovers. It was a very good performance for American swingman Julie Wojta (183-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American-New Zealand guard Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Lucca players scored in double figures. Lucca's coach Mirco Diamanti felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) answered with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois, agency: Two Points) added 6 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Torino.
