Burgos nipped Ourense to secure 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 16-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Burgos dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ourense's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 5 rebounds. Austrian Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Poscic is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Venezuelan guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) answered with 15 points and Canadian-Bosnian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St.) added 18 points in the effort for Ourense. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
