Quarter-Finals Round 1: Melilla - Caceres 72-55

Melilla secured the winning start to their playoff campaign as they rolled past Caceres. It looked good early as Caceres Basket took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Melilla Baloncesto had a 15-11 second period charge getting the lead and Caceres Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 55-72. Power forward Hector Manzano (207-80) stepped up and scored 7 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and point guard Josep Franch (193-91) chipped in 12 points. At the losing side Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sergio Perez (205-79) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
