Coruna outlasted Breogan to surge ahead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Leche Rio Breogan was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Georgian Beka Burjanadze (202-94) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Leyma Basquet's coach Tito Diaz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence) responded with 30 points and Pep Ortega (201-84) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Leyma Basquet and four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures.
