Regular Season Round 57: Okinawa GK - Osaka Evessa 77-81

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Okinawa GK (39-12) against fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (35-16) on Saturday night. Host Okinawa GK was defeated by Osaka Evessa in a tough game in Okinawa 77-81. Okinawa GK was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 49-42 second half run of Osaka Evessa. It was a good game for American forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Guard Narito Namizato (172-89) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Blackledge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) answered with 27 points and American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Okinawa GK. Osaka Evessa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 35-16 record, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Okinawa GK at the other side keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Osaka Evessa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Okinawa GK will play again at home against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
