Regular Season Round 27: Alcobendas - Quintanar 76-93

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Alcobendas (7-17) lost at home to fourth ranked Quintanar (16-8) 93-76 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-76. Quintanar looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Jerome Garrison (190, college: Grand Canyon) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Center Jose Maria Gil (207-91) answered with 31 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Alcobendas. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Quintanar moved-up to third place in Group B. Alcobendas lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Quintanar will face Azuqueca (#4) at home in the next round. Alcobendas will play against La Roda (#9) and hope to win that game.
