Quarter-Finals Round 3: Flamengo - Rio Claro 93-82

Flamengo marched past Rio Claro to earn the semifinal birth. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-82. Flamengo outrebounded Rio Claro 34-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Flamengo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Marcelo Machado (201-75, agency: Interperformances) who scored 22 points. The former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Flamengo's coach Jose Neto allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Guilherme Pereira (190-91) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and the former international Guilherme Teichmann (206-83, college: Tulsa) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
