Quarter-Finals Round 4: Mogi - B.Cearense 95-80

Date: April 24, 2016
Mogi das Cruzes cruised past Basket Caerense to punch their semifinal tickets. Mogi dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to SKY/Basquete's 36. They outrebounded SKY/Basquete 40-24 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mogi players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by the former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) who scored that evening 24 points and 5 assists and Jimmy de Oliveira (191-90) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Mogi players scored in double figures. Even 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws) by the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) did not help to save the game for SKY/Basquete. The former international Audrei Parisotto (196-84) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
