Pyrinto rallied past Helsinki Seagulls to take 3-2 lead in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Tampereen Pyrinto. Helsinki Seagulls managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American swingman Ricky Minard (196-82, college: Morehead St., agency: SDJ Sports) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo, agency: Two Points) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Carl Lindbom (206-91) produced 16 points and American forward Terrence Watson (200-87, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Helsinki Seagulls' coach Mikko Larkas rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
