We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Guayama where eighth ranked Manati (14-14) defeated 7th ranked Brujos (14-15) 91-83 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Brujos won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Manati made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Irish-Australian center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manati moved-up to seventh place. Loser Brujos dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
