Quarter-Finals Round 3: Homenetmen - Hoops 91-58

Homenetmen rallied past Hoops to cut the deficit in the quarterfinal series. The game without a history. Homenetmen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hoops Club's 26. They outrebounded Hoops Club 42-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Norvel Pelle (208-93, college: Iona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Five Homenetmen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) who recorded 25 points and point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) added 7 points and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
