Semi-Finals Game 6: BC Nokia - Kouvot 68-93

Kouvot rallied past BC Nokia away from home to seal their Korisliiga Finals appearance. The game without a history. Kouvot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to BC Nokia's 30. Kouvot forced 19 BC Nokia turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard David Gonzalvez (193-87, college: Richmond) who scored 32 points. The other American import forward Thomas Gipson (201-93, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Kouvot's coach Jyri Lehtonen felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Daniel Bailey (196-90, college: Queens, NC) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Eldar Skamo (198-86) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
