The game between 11th ranked Indios (11-18) and third ranked Vaqueros (17-14) in Mayaguez ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Bayamon beat Indios 99-84. Indios were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 53-37 second half run of Vaqueros. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The former international center Peter Ramos (222-85) fired 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Miguel Ali Berdiel (198-83, college: Valparaiso) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St.) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Alexander Galindo (200-85, college: FIU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Vaqueros and four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vaqueros moved-up to second place, which they share with Humacao. Indios at the other side stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Vaqueros' next round opponent will be Manati (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Indios will play against Leones and hope to win that game.
