Quarter-Finals Round 1: Stelmet ZG - Asseco 91-57

Stelmet ZG cruised past Asseco for the starting victory in the series. It looked good early as Asseco took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stelmet had a 23-10 second period charge getting the lead and Asseco was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-91. Stelmet dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco's 28 and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Asseco 40-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Asseco was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) nailed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. American point guard Anthony Hickey (180-92, college: Oklahoma St.) came up with 12 points and Serbian power forward Djordje Kaplanovic (210-95, agency: Alti Sport) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Asseco in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
