Semi-Finals Game 1: Guaros - Cocodrilos 97-99

Cocodrilos snatched a tough road win over Guaros in the semifinal series opener. Guaros were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-23 charge of Cocodrilos, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington) stepped up and scored 28 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Wendell McKines (198-88, college: N.Mexico St.) chipped in 30 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side international power forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Andre Emmett (196-82, college: Texas Tech) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
