Coruna nipped Breogan on the road to take 2-1 lead in the quarterfinal series. Leche Rio Breogan was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 20-15 charge of Leyma Basquet, which allowed them to win the game. Leche Rio Breogan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Georgian Beka Burjanadze (202-94) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Leyma Basquet's coach Tito Diaz used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence) answered with 23 points and 4 assists and Pep Ortega (201-84) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan.
