Regular Season Round 34: Mulhouse - Berck 98-83

Rather predictable result when fifteenth ranked Mulhouse Basket (15-19) defeated at home 17th ranked Berck (13-21) 98-83. The game was mostly controlled by Mulhouse Basket. Berck was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mulhouse Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Berck's 46. They outrebounded Berck 47-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mulhouse Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Parfait Njiba (198-89, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Mulhouse Basket's coach Frederic Munch allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Simon Cretaux (190-89) added 19 points in the effort for Berck. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mulhouse Basket moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Bordeaux and Challans. Newly promoted Berck dropped to the sixteenth position with 21 games lost.
