Regular Season Round 28: Santfeliuenc - Salt 62-78

There was an upset when higher ranked Santfeliuenc (10-9) lost to ninth ranked Salt (7-10) in Sant Feliu 62-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Salt. Santfeliuenc was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Santfeliuenc 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for forward Genis Bover (201-91) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Guard Guillem Pascua (186-89) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Aitor Gomez (210-93) replied with 9 points and 6 rebounds and guard Xavier Guirao (190-87) added 14 points in the effort for Santfeliuenc. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Salt moved-up to eighth place in Group C Titulo. Santfeliuenc lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Salt will face higher ranked Igualada (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Santfeliuenc will play against JAC Sants in Barcelona and hope to win that game.
