Wisla Krakow victoriously opened the championship series. They rolled past Artego Bydgoszcz in the opener. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish point guard Cristina Ouvina (173-90) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. Spanish center Laura Nicholls (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Management Group) added 22 points in the effort for Artego Bydg.
