Regular Season Round 32: Quebradillas - Santurce 84-76

Date: April 30, 2016
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Cangrejeros (19-13) in Quebradillas on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Piratas (16-16) 84-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cangrejeros. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Cangrejeros won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Italian guard Kevin Lisch (188-86, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Carmelo Lee (201-77, college: Long Beach St., agency: Paris Global Sports) who added 9 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. The former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) responded with 30 points and American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Cangrejeros' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Piratas moved-up to seventh place. Cangrejeros at the other side still keep top position with 13 games lost. Piratas are looking forward to face higher ranked Santeros (#6) in Coamo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cangrejeros will play at home against Santeros (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
