TU/Rock proved too good for visiting TLU/Kalev in the first game of the series. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. TLU/Kalev was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian-Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international Janar Talts (205-83) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four TU/Rock players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92, agency: Two Points) came up with 19 points and American guard Tom Droney (197-91, college: Davidson, agency: Octagon Europe) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for TLU/Kalev in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
