1/8 Finals Round 2: Okinawa GK - Kanazawa Samuraiz 88-73

Okinawa reached the quarterfinal stage as they cruised past Kanazawa. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Kanazawa Samuraiz was better in second period 30-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okinawa GK made 21-of-21 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Okinawa GK's coach Tsutomu Isa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa Samuraiz. American forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests.
